When We Meet
Adult and Children’s Sunday School Groups
9:30AM – 10:30AM
Meet at the church. The Adult Sunday school is currently studying the book of Acts.
Sunday Breakfast Bible Study
9:30AM – 10:30AM
This class occupies the meeting room of Panera Bread (Church and Sherman) from 9:30 – 10:30 Sunday mornings. We range in age from college to early forties. Our goal is to study the Bible and move men and women toward a closer walk with Jesus and greater commitment to our church. In the past we have studied Colossians, Philemon, and the life of Abraham. Our current focus is on the gospel accounts of interactions between the sick and needy and Jesus, with an eye for lessons on prayer.

Sunday Morning Worship
10:45AM – 12:00PM Fountain Square Building Worship Space
Our Pastor, Dr. Mark Coppenger is currently preaching from the book of Matthew. We hope you will join us as we explore this powerful Gospel from a fresh and engaging perspective.
Each service begins with a time of worship through song and spoken word. We enjoy uplifting, spirit-filled music in our times of worship. We respect and employ the rich heritage and powerful theology of the traditional hymns of the faith. We also enjoy and see a need for a contemporary approach to worship music. EBC’s approach to worship is a unique and organic blending of these two modes. Songs range in style from contemporary worship to gospel blues to traditional bluegrass. At a typical service you will hear and sing original compositions, contemporary favorites, and you might even (re)discover a great old hymn. No matter what the style, the purpose is the same: to lift our voices in praise to our God, in fellowship with a worshipping community of believers. Join us as we make a “joyful noise to the Lord”.
Fellowship Lunch – After the Worship service
Following the worship service, the church hosts a time of uplifting fellowship and great food. Begun as a ministry to our student population, our free fellowship lunch is open to all, and affords an opportunity for everyone to fellowship. It is a great time to get to know each other in a relaxed, casual setting. You are invited to stick around after the service and have lunch with us!
Sunday Night Prayer Meeting – 7:00PM – 8:30PM
In James 5 we read: Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
We believe that communal prayer is an important part of the life of the Church. Usually we tend to remain very private with our problems. But God’s word is clear that we are to make our needs known to the Church so that they can support us in prayer. You are invited to join us Sunday night as we meet to share our day to day concerns and the blessings we are thankful for, and to pray for each other.
Wednesday Night Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies
7:15PM – 8:30PM at the church
This is a time we get together in a more relaxed setting around tables and participate in discussion and in-depth study into the Bible. Topics vary from quarter to quarter as we rotate through specific books of the Bible, Church history, Christian doctrine, and ministry. Currently, the men’s group is studying 1st Corinthians, and the women’s group is studying 1st John. Would you like to dig deep into God’s Word? We welcome you to join us!
